the cat that cares too much

the cat cares too much
it's her biggest downfall
she runs in and sees her owner, edwin
she loves edwin
sometimes edwin loves her too
she never knows what to expect
she purrs and rubs against edwins leg
he ignores her
she meows, crying out for love
rejected.. again
she walks away with her head down
she goes to her place at the window sill
the cat stares out the window
wondering where she went wrong
it hits her: she must stop caring
